This offers consistent, tailorable, easy to read user documentation for systems designed and built using the Genius components. Since the documentation is automatically derived from the same inputs as the program code, it is always up to date, always matching the version of the program being used. Because it is automatically generated it is always consistent and reliable.
Documentation is produced from the Genius users’ programs, describing the choices offered to run these, and the questions asked.
Genius Suite programs produced by the System Builder and Menu Designer are fully documented including their screen layouts, choices, help texts and the responses to keys pressed.
For System Builder programs the screens, key choices, key entries, input and validation are described. Valid and default values along with help information are given, and the response to each valid function key is shown.
For a Menu Designer program, the screen layouts, choices, help screens and any special keys are also described.
Output can be requested for a variety of formats and currently supports HP, Canon, PostScript and simple character printers. The output may be tailored to any site specific printer or used to provide an online help system or a hyperlinked HTML document.
